The SGXK SkyGrip Energy Absorber Kit is engineered to keep system forces consistently low during a fall. The inline energy absorber’s unique coil design smoothly expands itself to retain system forces to a maximum 2,500 lb. The kit also contains a tension indicator and shackles. With a tension indicator in place, you can always check whether the system has been properly tensioned. Perfect tensioning is pivotal for a fall arrest system to work efficiently. A poor, inadequately tensioned system increases fall clearance requirements whereas if excessively tensioned there may be too much force on the stanchions. The multiple span horizontal lifeline systems require an energy absorber at the both ends of the line.
