CPA Aluminized Hoods 0647 and Replacement Parts
Aluminized Hoods Series 0647 from Chicago Protective Apparel. These aluminized hoods provide complete head and shoulder coverage. The window opening is a large one with 7" x 11" dimensions. It has a replaceable gold film and Lexan® window. They are available in different types of fabric such as: 15 oz. Aluminized Rayon, 19 oz. Aluminized Rayon Heavy, 19 oz. Aluminized Kevlar® Blend, 17 oz. Aluminized Carbon Kevlar®, 7 oz. Aluminized PBI®. Approach to within a few yards of flames and radiant heat up to 2000°F.
These hoods are constructed around a hard shell which provides both structure and a head ratchet. Windows are replaceable and positioned far enough away from the face to allow room to wear safety glasses or a face mask underneath. Air fed supplies can be fitted into the hoods. Hard hat or cap clips can be installed, please specify.

Aluminized clothing has a wide range of applications in the industrial setting, especially where such hazards as high heat or molten metal exist. Along with the ability to reflect 95% of radiant heat, aluminized fabrics reduce the flow of ambient heat by 50% versus non aluminized fabric. Aluminized clothing helps shed both ferrous and non ferrous molten metals.
