Falltech 8243Y High Heat and Burn Resistant 6' Lanyard with Snap Hooks

The WeldTech 6-Foot Shock Absorbing Lanyard is designed to be used in environments where exposure to heat, chemicals and sharp edges is a concern. It features Y-leg construction for 100-percent tie-off and utilizes a 2-inch tubular Nomex sleeve which encases a 7259 Internal SAL.

The 6,000 pound tubular polyester webbing inside provides the load-bearing element, while the Nomex sleeve protects the lanyard from slag, chemicals and sharp edges. This SAL is flame resistant with a char temperature of over 660 degrees, and is highly resistant to cuts and abrasion. It also features forged double-locking Offset snap hooks at the attachment and anchorage ends. From the manufacturer: At FallTech, we have a wide variety of lanyards designed for specialty applications.

Whether you are looking for a tie-back lanyard, extended free-fall or something that is able to survive the most wicked extremes of environment, we have all the bases covered. The Shock Absorbing Lanyard is the active component of a Personal Fall Arrest System. In the event of a fall, a Shock Absorbing Lanyard will not only arrest the fall, preventing you from hitting the next lower level, they will reduce the forces of impact on your body. All of our lanyards are designed to meet or exceed applicable OSHA and ANSI standards.
